PS - Winter Solstice Game Night Hosted by Robert and John -

Registration

  • Please bring an APPETIZER for at least 4 people. We suggest charcuterie, deviled eggs, crudités, etc. These are served first, so please arrive at the beginning of the evening.
  • Please bring a MAIN DISH for at least 4 people. We suggest any protein dish (chicken/beef/tofu) or a casserole, chili, etc. If you are a vegetarian, we suggest that you bring a VEG dish but ask that you also provide a label notifying attendees that it is VEG.
  • Please bring a SIDE DISH or SALAD for up to 4 people. We suggest a green salad, pasta salad, vegetables, baked beans, etc.
  • Please bring a DESSERT to serve up to 4 people. We suggest a seasonal cake, pie, cookies, etc. Costco cakes, pies, and cookies are always the best.


Robert Varga and John Simonsen have invited us all to a very special Winter Solstice Game Night on Saturday

,  December 19th, 2026 at their beautiful home in PALM DESERT
NOTE: This event will have a maximum capacity of 60 people

This event will be indoor/outdoor so dress warm!! 

SCHEDULE:

5:00 PM to 6:00 PM - ARRIVAL, CHECK IN, & APPETIZERS

6:00 PM to 7:00 PM – POTLUCK DINNER 

7:00 PM to 9:00 PM – GAME TIME AND/OR WARM YOUR TOES BY THE FIRE

WHAT TO BRING:

1) Potluck Item for at least 8 people 

2) Your own beverage(s): GOPS will supply water and ice, Host will share a limited open bar of spirits and mixers, no wine or beer.  Host will also provide coffee. 

3) Table Games you want to play (Great Outdoors provides many games)

NOTE:  Bring potluck dishes/snacks/etc. "ready to serve" in a serving bowl or dish, including any needed serving utensils.  

Our chapter is in desperate need of Game Night Hosts!  Please volunteer.
