A great hike and a great workout. Everyone made the 300 steps to the top. 👍

This section of the Baldwin Hills has been restored to a Coastal Scrub Sage ecosystem. Various types of wildflowers were covering the area. Most notably was the California Bush Sunflower in full bloom. Monkey Flowers, sages, Blue-Eyed Grass, and more were also quite striking.   -Russell Hammerl

Los Angeles Marathon

An early morning start but we had a great time. It was so much fun. We had a wonderful team. Let’s do it again next year! It was crazy at times because we couldn’t fill the cups fast enough.

LA Hike: Malibu Canyon to Mesa Peak

What a spectacular January morning and early afternoon our Great Outdoors group had today! More than 30 of us enjoyed brilliant, sunny 70-degree weather as we explored tide pools, ocean cliffs, a group picnic, and the Cabrillo Aquarium.

While the tide was a bit too high to see the sea creatures below, we were privileged to have our GO honorary professor Joe Holliday provide a fascinating narrative on the history and vital information regarding the natural environment we observed today!
