LA Hike: Malibu Canyon to Mesa Peak

Some photos from earlier today  Malibu Canyon to Mesa Peak hike. My legs are feeling the nearly 1500 FT elevation on the 6 mile round-trip hike. Thank you Russell Hammerl for organizing this really fun and beautiful event!

What a spectacular January morning and early afternoon our Great Outdoors group had today! More than 30 of us enjoyed brilliant, sunny 70-degree weather as we explored tide pools, ocean cliffs, a group picnic, and the Cabrillo Aquarium.

While the tide was a bit too high to see the sea creatures below, we were privileged to have our GO honorary professor Joe Holliday provide a fascinating narrative on the history and vital information regarding the natural environment we observed today!
