As your chapter Outreach Rep, I am happy to share a great team building outreach event at OC Pride, October 10.  OCLB will have a booth and we will have some swag for volunteers to hand out for people who sign up to join the club. 

We hope you can join us and help spread the word about your GREAT OUTDOORS.  Whether you are a veteran of the club or new to G.O., we would love to have you at the booth if only for us to get to know each other a little better.

OC Pride has something really to be excited about this year -- a Pride Homecoming of sorts.  The festival is returning to Santa Ana! 

I could not have said it better myself, below is an excerpt from the OC Register.

Orange County Pride’s annual festival is returning to downtown Santa Ana this year — a move organizers say has been met with “overwhelming support” and is shaping up to make October’s homecoming celebration the biggest event they’ve held yet.


This year’s festival will be held Oct. 10, with free admission open to all members of the public.

“We’re so excited to show everybody what we’ve been working on all year. It’s going to be a great day; I’m very much anticipating it,” Orange County Pride Executive Director Bryan Terry said. “This is probably going to be the most jam-packed festival we’ve ever thrown — which is the exact opposite of what we were trying to do in the beginning.”

Community feedback gathered earlier this year made it clear that attendees wanted organizers to find a way back to Santa Ana, the group said. The festival’s first event was in Centennial Park in 1989 and it was hosted downtown for years before relocating to Costa Mesa’s OC Fair & Event Center in 2024.

Don’t just attend—be the heartbeat of the celebration. Sign up, bring your friends, and let’s show Orange County what true Pride means!

Please note that the OC Pride Festival & Parade takes place in the streets of Downtown Santa Ana. Some street parking and road access in the festival area will be limited or unavailable on the day of the event. We strongly encourage attendees to plan ahead and consider alternative transportation options.

Parking Garages

Several city-owned parking structures are available within walking distance of the festival footprint, operated by ABM Parking. The first 60 minutes are free, with a rate of $1.75 per hour after that and a daily maximum of $15. ABM Parking Please note that special event rates may apply on the day of the festival.
