Hike in Long Valley to Notch 1

This is a short hike in Long Valley to the first notch to get the view of the sunset over the valley, and then take the tram down as it gets dark. The hike is fairly easy, but the climb back up the ramp is strenuous. Total time on the walk will be approx. 1 hour and 1.5 miles. Temps will likely be in the 50s, dress appropriately.

Meeting Time/Location:  Arrive at the Tram base station at 6:10PM in order to buy your ticket, or be in line by 6:20 to board the 6:30pm car. If you plan to take an earlier tram, email me, and then meet the 6:30pm car in the Mountain station lobby around 6:40pm.

Tram Ticket Cost:  $32-35 at the station, these tickets are not available online at this time. You can use a pass. Parking is free to Coachella Valley residents with ID, or any pass holder.
