So what is a "Jamboree?"

In other words, it's a PARTY!
Overview
The Jamboree is a long-standing Great Outdoors tradition! It's a campout consisting of all the Great Outdoors chapters.
We anticipate this selling out quickly so register NOW!
This Jamboree is going to be remarkable!
It's our first Jamboree since before the COVID pandemic!
The Jamboree helps to fund the Outdoor Experience training program!
Venue
The elevation is about 4,500' so plan on possible cool nights.
We have reserved the largest group site in the campground!
Restrooms and hot showers are very close!

Registration
Event fee: $75/person for Great Outdoors Members. Non-members must first join Great Outdoors ($25) before registering. All registrants must be GO members.

Option: $30/person for 2-hr. Pontoon boat ride on nearby Lake Hemet.
Electronic payment for the event fee is accepted on the GO website. No cash or paper check, please.
Cancellations and refunds: No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after 5/17/26. There will be a $10 cancellation fee charged if cancelled by 5/17/26.

Itinerary
Thursday, May 28
- 2:00 pm - Check-in begins. Please do not arrive before 2:00 pm
- 5:00 pm - Meet and Greet (please bring an appetizer to share).
- 8:00 pm - Campfire (depending on current fire conditions).
Friday, May 29
- 7:00 am - Coffee and pastries.
- 9:00 am - Easy local hike from the campground.
- 1:00 pm - Activities such as 4 x 4 trip, board games, etc.
- 6:00 pm - Potluck item to share. If you bring a vegan or vegetarian item, please help out your fellow vegans/vegetarians by marking it clearly as such.
- 8:00 pm - Campfire (depending on current fire conditions).
Saturday, May 30
- 7:00 am - Coffee and pastries.
- 9:00 am - Easy local hike.
- 1:00 pm - Optional Pontoon boat ride at nearby Lake Hemet, sightseeing in nearby Idyllwild or board games in the campground.
- 6:00 pm - Hosted Taco Bar! There will be a Vegan option.
- 8:00 pm - 80's Dance Party and hopefully a campfire!
Sunday, May 31
- 7:00 am - Coffee and pastries.
- 11:00 am - Tearful goodbyes and check out.

Please wear your best 80's outfit!

Campground Details

Quiet time: 10pm to 7am
RV sites & Tow Trailer sites- Limited pull-through and back-in sites are available. Water is available on-site, but there are no electric hookups. There is a dump station at Lake Hemet. Generator hours are from 8 am to 8 pm.
No fires of any kind will be allowed on red flag days or as posted. Keeping our fingers crossed that campground fires will be allowed!
What to Bring
Obviously The 10 Essentials.
Recommended Gear: Tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, ear plugs, pillow, chair, camp stove with fuel and cooking utensils, lighter or matches, camp kitchen supplies, headlight or flashlight with batteries, cool and warm weather clothing, toiletries kit, hiking shoes, camp shoes, day pack, hat, sunglasses, and sunblock. Bring quarters to use the showers.
Food: Bring enough food for your Thursday dinner, Friday and Saturday lunches, and dinner potluck item for Friday night.
To reduce waste, bring your reusable plate, cup, and utensils. Single-use plates, cups, and utensils are available if needed.
The nearest store for groceries is about a mile away at Lake Hemet. They have ice, a deli and ice cream as well. Idyllwild is about 5 miles away.
