LA - San Pedro: Tide pools, Sea Cliffs, History, and Aquarium
Date: Sunday, January 18, 2026
Time: 10:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Please join us for a scenic and educational walk/hike featuring the Cabrillo Beach shoreline, rocky coast and sea cliffs, tide pools, Point Fermin Park, the Korean Peace Bell, and an optional visit to the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium at the end of the tour.

This walk/hike offers stunning coastal views and is suitable for beginning to moderate skill levels. The route includes paved sidewalks and some dirt terrain. The ocean trail leads down to a rocky beach, so sturdy walking or hiking shoes are required.
Route & Highlights:
-
We’ll begin with an easy stroll along and past the Cabrillo Beach shoreline.
-
From there, we’ll continue to Point Fermin Park, home to 100-year-old trees, a historic lighthouse, and filming locations for many movies.
-
Picnic tables are available here for a snack or bring-your-own lunch (approximately 12:00–12:30 PM).
-
Next, we’ll walk uphill to the Korean Peace Bell, enjoying sweeping ocean views while learning about the monument’s history and the contrasting WWII-era gun emplacements nearby.
-
We’ll then return to the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, where participants may choose to visit the Aquarium at the end of the hike.
-
