Irvine Ranch Conservancy Wilderness Access Day
Saturday January 17, 2026
Gypsum Canyon in Anaheim
The OC hills are excessively green.
It is 6 miles of new trails. I have not done it, so it will be a scouting hike. It is probably moderate with the possibility of cancellation if rain.
You may view the trip notes at: Let'sGoOutside.org,
They do not require registration. Gates open at 08:00 and parking is "first come first served". We will meet at 08:00. You should register with GO so I can notify you if cancelled, and so I can look for you. Parking is 390 S Gypsum Canyon Road in Anaheim.
They offer a generic warning about Mountain Lions and rattlers, but the rattlers will be in brumation.
PLEASE BRING A SACK LUNCH AS WE WILL STOP FOR LUNCH AROUND NOON
What to Bring:
You should bring your ten essentials CLICK HERE FOR LIST, a day pack, water (2 liters), trekking poles, sunscreen, hat, trail snacks, and plan on wearing hiking boots or shoes. BRING PLENTY OF WATER!!!!
Carpooling is recommended to help reduce gas cost and parking may be a challenge.
