SB/VC – Ventura/Ojai Trail Bike Ride

Come join Great Outdoors for a leisurely bike ride from Ventura to Ojai and back, taking in the scenery and fresh air.

This trail has earned National Recreation Trails designation as “Ventura River Parkway Trail” that incorporates the Ventura River Trail and the Ojai Valley Trail.  It parallels the 33 freeway and Ventura River. The route travels from Ventura to Ojai - approximately 15 miles in length, It's generally a gentle uphill toward Ojai. The trail surface is paved asphalt or concrete or wooden bridge with railings. There are bathrooms and water fountains near the midway point at Foster Park.

We will have lunch at Ojai Coffee Roasters at 337 E Ojai Avenue before heading back to Ventura. The return route from Ojai to Ventura is a pleasant mostly downhill ride. 

eBikes are welcome, but let’s mostly stick together in a group and not get too far ahead of the regular bikes.

Meet at free parking lot next to Museum of Ventura County, 100 E Main St. Ventura at 8:45am. Ride out will be promptly at 9:00am.
