Fall is in the air, and a member has friends in town for PS Pride, so I'll be leading the group up Berdoo Canyon, and across Joshua Tree NP to Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. Lunch is an option there. This is an all day trip. Optionally, there will be a hike at Lucky Boy Vista after the 4x4 portion (description here).

The Berdoo Canyon portion is 4x4 section and is about 15 miles, and Geology Tour Rd back to the paved road is another 47 miles and is fairly flat dirt. The paved route back to Petsmart is 59 miles. The hiking portion would be about 2.5 hours, walking 3.3 miles.

New members are welcome, please write the trip leader and let me know what you're driving and your experience. Passengers are welcome, but you should probably arrange a ride with a friend beforehand, as seats may not be available.

Meeting:7:50 am at the Petsmart parking lot at Ramon and Crossley (map here). Be sure to arrive a few minutes early and with a full tank of gas, we depart at 8:00. Please bring your radio (see below).

Duration: 6-7 hours
