I'm planning to visit Thomas Mountain (south of Lake Hemet) again to check out the Toolbox Springs primitive campground and to determine which route is suitable for the most camping vehicles in the future. We will traverse the 6S13 truck trail and then the Thomas Mountain Truck trail. Plan to have lunch at the top of Thomas Mountain.
Meeting: 9:00 am at Randall Henderson trailhead parking lot, off CA 74 south of Palm Desert (map). Or, those coming from Hemet or Idyllwild routes can meet at 9:45 am at the beginning of 6S13, sign says Little Thomas Mountain 6, 6S13 (map).
Duration: 2-3 hours
