The hike begins at the parking lot in Andreas Hills of Palm Springs, South Palm Canyon, and continues up and down a dirt road for some distance. Then it comes to a trail which climbs up the mountainside via several switchbacks and intersects the Wild Horse Trial. The hike continues on the Wild Horse for some distance to enjoy the great views from the ridge and of the entire Coachella Valley.
- Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous. Will be generally challenging for an unconditioned person. The terrain will involve a steady and often steep incline.

What to bring: Ten Essentials (click here), water (1 to 2 liters recommended), lunch/snacks, sun protection, layered clothing. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required.
