The Devil’s Slide Trail to Saddle Junction is a 5 mile, out and back trail through one of the most beautiful sections of the San Jacinto Wilderness. With spectacular views of Marion Mountain, Suicide and Lily rock, this uphill, 2.5 mile trail to Saddle Junction is well worth the climbing effort. Plan on lunch at Saddle Junction where multiple trails meet. As this is a very popular trail, a hiking permit is required. Group size is limited to 12 people. If there are sufficient hikers on the wait list, an effort will be made to go as two groups 20 minutes apart to keep within the permit limitations. Trailhead parking will require either an Adventure Pass or a valid Interagency pass (e.g., National Park Senior Pass); one for each vehicle.
