We'll drive to a spot off of Indian Canyon, drop a few cars and then head for the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve in Morongo Valley and hike down the canyon. Shuttle back to vehicles approx. 6 miles one way.

The trail enters a lush riparian oasis, elevation: 2600', then plunges through the wide, stream-fed wash of Big Morongo Canyon to northeast of Desert Hot Springs. Geological faults and steep canyon walls, and historical points of interest add to the variety of interesting features of this hike.

Carpooling is encouraged and may be available if offered by driver. You are responsible for arranging you own transportation or ride share. Arrive a few minutes early for briefing and carpooling. Distance to trailhead (Snow Creek Canyon Rd) is 12 miles.
