Music!   Dancing!   Fun!

The Great Outdoors!

Silent Disco?  What is that?

Silent Disco  is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones.  Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.  Which means you can engage in conversation without screaming when you want to talk by simply taking off the headphones.

In the earliest days of silent discos, before 2005, there would be only one channel available to listen to music through. Over time, the technology moved along to where there were two, and later technology allowed for a third channel that three separate DJs could broadcast over at the same time.

Argyros Plaza's got its groove back! Dance the night away with the Silent DJs, who've returned to our outdoor stage with everyone's favorite tunes, times three.  With three channels to choose from on your light-up headphones, there's something for everyone to enjoy.  Whether you love party classics or EDM, the Silent DJs will have you up and on the dance floor all night long!

Cost:  $15 per ticket.

Tickets are purchased on-line @ the Segerstrom Website.

There are a limited number of tickets that will be sold so if you intend to go, I highly recommend buying a ticket ASAP.

These Silent Disco events do sell out well before the actual event date - so don't delay!

The Halloween Edition of Silent Disco:  Omar, Rob, Rick, Sister Sister, Lance & Rudel.

If you have any questions, you know how to reach me!

If you have never experienced a 'Silent Disco', now is the time!  I simply enjoy the heck out of these, but of course I am on the dance floor the entire time.

Running time (approximate): 3 hours with no intermission

Getting to the Dance Trailhead:

The official address for Segerstrom Center of the Arts is 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa, CA  92626.  It is conveniently located opposite South Coast Plaza.  Take advantage of modern technology, and use your GPS, Mapquest, etc to attain the best route to get to Segerstrom.  The Argyros Plaza is simply the outdoor area between the two main buildings of The Center.

Parking:

While there are Parking Garages adjacent to The Center/Plaza, the parking fee is currently $12 (cash).  You can also park @ South Coast Plaza and simply walk the block to get to The Center.

What to Bring:

You should bring your happiness and dancing shoes!  There is a concession stand ($$$) offering tidbits of food and a variety of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.  P. S. I have seen others discreetly bring their own 'concessions'.

This is an outdoor event, and being the last day in March the weather can be unpredictable.  Recommend bringing a jacket, sweater or that furry man (or woman) to keep you warm.

Where to Meet:  Once we get the final attendance count, we will determine a designated area to meet @ The Center/Plaza.

Carpooling is recommended to help reduce electric, gas and parking congestion.
