Philip Ferranti, author of the regional bestseller book, "140 Great Hikes in and near Palm Spring" is our next speaker.  Philip is the founder of the Coachella Valley Hiking Club in 1992 and a frequent guest speaker at hiking conventions. He will talk about some of the best hikes located around the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains. Learn about the flora, fauna and unique geological features found along the way. Historical and early mining points of interest will also be included. His unique PowerPoint presentation will feature many of the most interesting trails.  Bring your copy of the hiking guide for autographs or purchase one at the event.

This talk will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The Center is located at 1301 N Palm Canyon Dr., Room 1, in Palm Springs.  The presentation will be held in person in a large conference room.  Light snacks will be served.

We request that everyone be vaccinated in order to attend this indoor event. Wearing a mask during the event is optional.
