St. Patrick's Day in Las Vegas!

Do you feel Lucky?

Join your friends of Great Outdoors for a fun St. Patrick's day-weekend in beautiful Las Vegas, March 16th -19th, 2023.

Claude Raffin has once again made his home available as our place to stay - our home base, as we explore and enjoy the sights and sounds of the magical place that never sleeps. This is an 'Urban Slumber Party' staying at Claude’s home, so you don't need your tent but make sure to bring a comfortable pad or air mattress to sleep on as well as your sleeping bag and ear plugs are highly recommended. If you feel more comfortable staying at a hotel, the zip code is 89120 to GPS nearby places.

Itinerary as follows:

Thursday, March 16th Arrive, it's a gated community, Street name: Placita Del Lazo, specific address and gate code will be given once registered.

Meet and greet 4-7 pm for drinks and appetizers

Explore the strip afterward, or board games, or just relax around the house. There is a pool and hot tub.

Friday (St. Patty’s Day) March 17th Continental breakfast by GO..you're welcome to bring food and extra goodies to share as well.

Travel to Claude’s cabin at Mount Charleston leave house about 10 AM, a beautiful 50-minute drive up into the mountains near Las Vegas. Carpooling to be worked out. French Toast and bacon brunch cooked by chefs Bradley and Wes, at the cabin, then explore plenty of hiking trails so make sure to have good hiking shoes. If you prefer you can 'hang' at the cabin.

5 PM: dinner by Chef Sean: Corned beef and cabbage.

Neon Museum Tour, this is really popular, plan to go as a group on the 8:15 PM tour.

You are responsible to purchase your own tickets go to:

Guided Tours Main Boneyard | The Neon Museum

Make sure you buy tickets for the NEON Museum Tour, we do not recommend the 'brilliant jackpot tour' as it tends to be long and, well, boring.

Tickets sell out fast, so get your ticket as soon as possible, this is early enough, there should be enough tickets to go around!

Saturday March 18th 9 AM Continental breakfast provided by GO

Day to explore the sites, possible visits: Pin Ball Hall of Fame, Monster mini golf and KISS museum at the Rio, The Mob Museum.

Dinner at Ping,Pang,Pong a very popular Dim Sum restaurant.  You're responsible for your own meal and drink purchase.

Sunday March 19th 10 AM Continental breakfast. Provided by GO

Time for hugs and good-byes: or if you want to avoid Sunday traffic, stay one more night and leave Monday AM with a possible visit to Red Rocks National Park on Sunday.

Schedules and times may change -except the NEON Museum Tour. Bring your favorite adult beverages and other food items that you like and want to share, will be appreciated!

This is a 'free flow' weekend, you are welcome to join or do your own thing!

Cost $50 per person to cover some food costs. Additional meals and other tour purchases are your responsibility. Any other questions contact the co-trip leader Sean Micheal at: mrdooner@cox.net     or Brian Miller at:  muddbilt@comcast.net

Space is limited to 15 registrants. May the luck of the Irish be with you!
