Something different:
For the past few months, we have been experimenting with going to see movies (such as Bros.) together as a small group to see the validity of adding something of this nature to our activities. The results have been rewarding with the consensus that this is indeed an activity that warrants continuing with this experiment. The experiment continues: This Saturday a few of us are going to see 'In From The Side' in North Hollywood at the Laemmle Theater. Unfortunately this movie is only playing in one theater in Southern California, hence the trek up to Los Angeles. If interested you are responsible for your own purchases (tickets, snacks, parking and other possible expenses).
For February there is a discussion of whether "80 For Brady" or "Magic Mike's Last Dance" should be the next movie. And a location either in Orange County or Long Beach will be the next setting.
While this is indeed a last minute notice for this movie, we don't expect much of turnout but this posting is simply announcing what may be forthcoming.
"In From The Side"
Minute for minute, you won't find a more romantic gay film this year than British rugby drama IN FROM THE SIDE, a surprisingly moving sports-team story slathered in sweat, streaked with mud, and dripping with sensuality. As a "B Squad" of gay athletes tries to overcome inexperience and push past rivalries to score an elusive win, a secret affair simmers among them. Mark (puppy-eyed Alexander Lincoln) finds himself unable to avoid the blazing appeal of teammate Warren (Alexander King), with his cocky attitude and emotional unavailability.
