Meccacopia - Godwin Trails

We will start at Shavers Well in Box Canyon and enter Meccacopia trail and travel through narrow canyons, to higher elevations overlooking the surrounding mountain ranges. We continue south to Drop 31 near the Bradshaw trail near the Salton Sea. Here we return heading north on Godwin Trail with stops at several interesting narrow slot canons.

Drivers may indicate the number of passengers they can accommodate if they wish to offer passengers a ride.

Arrive back approx 3:30 pm

Rated moderate, with some steep climbs and descents, suitable for stock 4x4 vehicles with all terrain tires.

Bring water, lunch, layered clothing. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Have a full tank of gas, spare tire. Trail communications will be ham radio frequency 146.550.  We have several extra radios available.  Pets welcome.
