Located in the Black Rock camping area in Joshua Tree National Park, this 6.5 mile moderately strenuous hike offers a variety of views of the park's interior, Mt. San Jacinto, Mt. San Gorgonio, the Salton Sea and Yucca Valley. The path travels through Joshua Trees, pines and junipers as it wides around a cluster of high peaks. Originally developed by horseback riders, some parts may be steep and sandy.
- Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous. As the hike is in the upper elevation, the path will be generally challenging for any unconditioned person. Some parts of the terrain will involve sandy areas with steep inclines.
