**EVENT CANCELED**
This will be the 76th annual Naples Christmas Boat Parade, where small boats sailing through the canals, big boats in Alamitos Bay and houses all around the islands will compete for holiday decoration bragging rights.
Bring your Santa hat (see pictured example), a thermos of eggnog or your preferred warm beverage, and an ugly sweater with a favorite friend to see the boat parade through the Naples canals then walk among carolers through the adjacent neighborhood to view the amazing light and holiday themed displays. We will meet at La Bella Fontana Park and walk 2 blocks to a great viewing area for the parade. Get there early as parking is challenging. Large boats decorated with lights parade along the peninsula at 6 pm. Small boats float through at 6:30 pm from the Appian Way Bridge. Large and small boats go in opposite directions.
Houses on Naples Island are famous for extraordinary displays of Christmas and Hanukkah lights. It makes the island a great Christmas destination in Southern California.
Consider arriving early to rent a duffy or kayak among the flotillas, stroll the shops and restaurants on 2nd St. and enjoy the atmosphere.
