4x4 Trip Burns Canyon – Baldwin Lake - Big Bear
Beginning in Yucca Valley we will take the back trail to Big Bear and optional lunch in town. Approximately 20 miles on Burns Canyon Road. We will return via Hwy 38.
Rated: Moderate-suitable for stock 4x4 vehicles. Much of this trail is easy to moderate; however, two steep hills have large boulders to maneuver around.

Equipment Requirements:
4-wheel drive high clearance vehicle with transfer case, trail rated tires, a spare tire and a full tank of gas. Bring water and trail snacks.
Pets welcome. Note, we will be going inside a restaurant in Big Bear and it will be too hot for a dog left in a vehicle.
Drivers are welcome to bring passengers which should be arranged ahead of time. Drivers can register their passengers as guest. GO does not arrange rideshare.
