Beautiful hike in the Cleveland National Forest with expansive views. The trails usually do not have many people. The hike is approximately 9 miles and 1,000 foot elevation gain. It starts at the very end of the paved road (the long gray strip that can be seen on the map). We will begin at the Bell Canyon Trail head, go up to Cougar Pass Trail, and then to Oso Trail until we reach a rest area and picnic table. After a snack break we will return on Oso trail and then take a different loop back by way of Bell Canyon Trail, Star Rise Trail, West Ridge Trail, Dick Loskorn Train and finally arrive back to our cars on the nature loop trail.

5$ park entrance fee, unless you have the OC Parks Annual Permit

Click here for the list of ten essentials. Wear shoes with good tread, as parts of the trail are steep with loose gravel. Carpooling is recommended to help reduce gas cost and parking.

If you cannot attend, please cancel your registration, so the next person on the waiting list can have a chance to register.
