We will hike the Indian Loop in the Pioneertown Mountain Preserve. This route is 6.7 miles, has 1000-1100' elevation gain, and has sandy trails, rocky trails, some stream crossings, and a lot of brush along the trails. The starting elevation is 4400' so the weather is a good bit cooler than the CV. The preserve is north of Yucca Valley and just north of Pioneertown village. There is a mile of dirt road to get to the parking lot. For more information on the Preserve - click here.
