Hike modification:
Due to cold weather forecast the hike will stay at lower elevations in the canyon. It will be an out and back hike (to the Olsen Cabin ruins) a distance of approximately 5 miles and 400 feet gradual elevation gain.
The Indian Loop trail is comprised of three separate trails: the Pipes Canyon, Indian Springs, and Chaparrosa Peak Trails. Points of interest along the trail include a wetlands area and the Olsen homestead ruins. We will be doing the hike backwards, hard part first and a nice stroll down pipes canyon. We will take breaks as needed.
