PS - Hike: Magnesia Falls North

Explore the North canyon of Magnesia Falls. There are a series of dry waterfalls up the canyon. This canyon has dramatic geological displays of twisted rock formations with high rock walls in a series of curves. There are several dry waterfalls to negotiate. Big Horn sheep habitat.

  • Duration:  3 hours
  • Difficulty: Moderate*
  • Total Elevation:  600 ft
  • Distance: 5 miles out & back
  • Terrain: *Dry Falls, Dirt & Sandy Washes. Footwear with good traction a must.
  • 8:30 am Meet: PetsMart Palm Springs - Ramon/Crossley or trailhead at the Rancho Mirage Blixseth Park at 9:00 am.

Bring Ten Essentials (click here), water (1 to 2 liters recommended), lunch/snacks, sun protection, layered clothing. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required. Gloves may be helpful. You will use hands and feet to traverse the dry water falls.

Carpooling is encouraged and may be available if offered by driver. You are responsible for arranging you own transportation or ride share.
