Note:  Have your credit card ready as you'll need it to pay your registration fees (breakfast & optional spa) within 15 mins.  There are no refunds for this event. Address will be sent in reminder email sent 3 days prior to event.  

9 AM - energized with breakfast, carpool five minutes to the Swiss Canyon trailhead. The hike is rated a moderate 3.7 miles total out and back. This includes a 500-foot elevation gain with a final optional loop to a peak and a commanding view of the valley floor. The optional loop adds several hundred additional feet to the elevation gain and .7 mile.

The trail consists of three segments, open desert, canyon, and scenic overlook. Standard scrub brush lines the route in the first segment. Soon the path enters a canyon of tall gray rock walls on either side of the trail (hence the name Swiss Canyon). The final segment overlooks the valley floor and fantastic views across to Mt. San Jacinto.

After taking in the sites, we retrace our steps back to the trailhead and move onto Miracle Springs Resort & Spa for lunch at their indoor/outdoor Capri Restaurant and then “take the waters” in any of the mineral pools of different temperatures. We have a special discounted group rate for the spa admission:  $9 senior / $13 adult.  Lunch not included. Option to sign up and pay when you register for this event. No refunds.

Bring:   Swimsuit - Towel 

Ten Essentials (click here), water, 1 or 2 liters recommended, snacks, sun protection, layered clothing , hiking poles may be helpful. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required. Inclement weather may cancel.
