CicLAvia–Wilmington

On Sunday, August 15, streets will be opening up in Wilmington for a 2.25 mile route connecting Banning Park and Wilmington Waterfront Park. Bike, skate, run, walk, skateboard, and enjoy the route however you want. We welcome people of all ages and abilities! CicLAvia is a free, open event

Activities on the Route

There will be a lot to see and do on August 15 at CicLAvia–Wilmington; check out our Activities Page for an updated list of things to do! Our Hubs will feature food trucks, free photo booths, outdoor activities, & more.

Plus, the Avalon Arts & Cultural Alliance will transform Wilmington Town Square (in the center of our route) into a Local Art and Craft market.

CicLAvia encourages the use of public transportation to its events, but with the limited Sunday schedule, it is not feasible to go there by public transportation.  It is 118 miles from Palm Springs to Wilmington, or about a 2 hour + drive, depending on traffic.

Those wishing to carpool/caravan from Palm Springs should meet at Palm Springs Petsmart at Ramon/Crossley (Map) at 8:00 am to allow time to reach the event by 10:00 am or so.  Carpooling is encouraged and may be available if offered by driver. You are responsible for arranging you own transportation or ride share and for bringing your own bicycle.

Bike Rentals

Please note that CicLAvia does not provide bike rentals. Plan ahead and visit ciclavia.org/rentals for more information about bike rentals in Los Angeles County.
