4x4 Trip to Santa Rosa Mountain /Toro Peak 

  • Trail Length: 11 miles one way
  • Toro Peak is 8600' 
  • Difficulty Rating: Easy- moderate-suitable for stock vehicle
  • Trail Type: Road , rutted, uneven

  •  Santa Rosa Rd (7S02) is  accessed from Hwy 74.  It begins in chaparral, and winds its way up to pines and cedars below Santa Rosa and Toro Peak.

Equipment Requirements:

  • 4 wheel drive vehicle with transfer case, spare tire.
  • Full tank of gas.

Bring: Face cover, hand sanitizer, water, lunch/ snacks.

You are responsible for arranging you own transportation. Arrive a few minutes early for briefing.

Additional conditions due to Covid-19:

Participants will meet the following expectations as a condition of registering for this event:

  1. I will follow state and local stay at home guidance and cancel my participation if such guidance changes before the date of the event.
  2. I will bring and wear face coverings and agree to follow the state guidance in place as well as follow the directions of the Leader.
  3. I will maintain appropriate social distancing as recommended and follow the guidance of the Activity Leader.
  4. I will bring my own face covering, water bottles, meals, eating utensils, and hand sanitizer 
  5. I will not attend if feeling ill or have any symptoms of COVID-19
  6. I will contact INFO-PS@GreatOutdoors.org. if I test positive for COVID- 19 within 14 days of the event to support contact tracing.
