Hike Description: Join Great Outdoors as we climb one of the tallest peaks in the western San Gabriels!
The climb up Condor Peak is a long, gradual climb of about 4,000 feet over 7 miles. From the summit, we'll turn around and backtrack to the cars.
There is a good description of the hike here along with a map and vertical profile.
There is no group size limit for this hike as none of it is in designated Wilderness. However, we highly recommend you RSVP so that we can reach you in the event of changed conditions. As always, we recommend you show up with the "ten essentials" as listed here. This is a strenuous hike and we expect that those who show up for it are prepared for the distance and elevation gain. The trail is almost entirely exposed (no shade) so sunscreen is a must. The temperature will likely be cool at first but will quickly become warmer, so a light and easily-removed warm layer would be ideal.
