This is a unique hike for 2 reasons: I'm an honorary member of the Palm Springs Police Department, Search and Rescue Unit and many times in the past, I have delivered mostly water and other supplies to the 2 important Rescue Boxes on this famous trail. I will request everyone to carry at least 1, small bottle with them (I will provide the bottled water). This hike also provides fabulous views such as Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and beyond as part of the expanse of Coachella Valley. Along the way we'll see unusual rock formations and a variety of colorful desert vegetation. There be a nice, long break/rest near the 1st Rescue Box before returning to where I live.

IMPORTANT: Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.  Bring plenty of water (2 liters or more recommended), lunch/snacks, a hat (or sunscreen), and a wonderful attitude. Thanks. Also, pets are not allowed.

NOTE:  Inclement weather will cancel the hike.
