Black Rock Campground, Joshua Tree National Park
Yucca Valley, California
Thursday October 24 thru Sunday October 27, 2019
Join us for a near-the-end-of-summer retreat located in the northwest corner of the Joshua Tree National Park at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The road to Black Rock Canyon dead-ends at the campground. Camp sites are located on a hillside at the mouth of the canyon surrounded by Joshua trees, junipers, cholla cacti and a variety of desert shrubs. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring with restrooms, flush toilets and water nearby. If you forget to bring a piece of equipment, shopping facilities are only five miles away in the town of Yucca Valley. Campsites vary in size. Campsites will be shared between tents. RVs will occupy their own site (no hookups). Carpooling is suggested wherever possible. The hills behind the campground offer a variety of hiking trails. Spend free time enjoying the local desert scenery around the camp or venture out on a hike or scenic drive. We'll also have an off-road trip. We encourage off-road drivers to attend the event for the day with no fee if they take campers on the off-road trip. The Black Rock Campground site information and campground map is available here.
