PS - Hike: Snowshoe Round Valley - CANCELLED

Take the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to a winter wonderland at an elevation of 8,516 feet to snowshoe portions or all of the Round Valley Loop and some connecting trails. This event is contingent on adequacy of snowfall and forecast weather.

  • Meeting place: The Tram’s Valley Station, waiting area
  • Meeting time: 7:45 AM (Note: On busy weekends, non-pass holders may find a very long line to buy passes and will need to arrive earlier.)
  • Duration: Three to five hours
  • Distance: Up to 5-mile snowshoe with 800-foot elevation gain
  • Pace: Moderate with snack breaks
  • Difficulty: Strenuous. Snowshoeing is very demanding and may be particularly difficult for those unaccustomed to the altitude. 
  • Meeting time: Be ticketed and ready to ride the first tram at 8 a.m. 
  • Equipment: Snowshoes and poles. (Note, the Adventure Center is closed.)
Temperatures at the tram’s Mountain Station can be 30 degrees cooler than in the valley, so check at https://www.pstramway.com/weather/.

Tickets for the Tram:  $34.95 Adult $31.95 Senior (65+). Annual passes are available. Tickets may be purchased on line or on a "first-come, first-served" basis on the day of the event at the Tram’s Valley Station.  $15 parking fee waived for pass holders and local residents.  Our tram departure is 8 AM. Bring Ten Essentials (click here), water (2 to 3 liters recommended), trail snacks/ lunch. Sun protection and layered clothing. Snowshoes and poles. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Hiking poles may be helpful.

You must be a Great Outdoors (GO) member in order to attend this event.
