PS - HIKE: HIDDEN LAKE - DIVIDE PLUS

Hike to a seldom visited location.  A very special and unique place with one of the best views overlooking the valley and unique natural features found nowhere else in the world. Visitation to this area is restricted and permitted only with a special permit. You will learn why this vernal lake is protected and how it relates to an Island in the Sky. We will hike to Hidden Lake and Hidden Divide overlook and take the upper trail to Round valley and return via the lower trail.

Note this is a longer hike than the Hidden Lake hike posted for Fri, June 14.

We will each complete a special permit form for Hidden Lake and proceed up to Hidden Divide overlook and then over to Hidden Lake. Return route we take the high trail to Round Valley and the lower trail back to Long Valley.

Tickets for the Tram:  $30.95 Adult $28.95 Senior. $15 parking fee waived for pass holders and local residents. Summer and annual passes available. Our tram departure is 10 AM. Purchase tickets here: Palm Springs Tram Tickets or  tickets available upon arrival. Be there early (9:20 am) to get in line to purchase ticket. 

What to bring: 

Ten Essentials (click here), water (2 to 3 liters recommended), lunch/snacks, sun protection, layered clothing, hiking poles may be helpful. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required.
