This is your opportunity to be a part of the Palm Springs Mounted Police Search and Rescue mission. Therefore, you will be asked to carry 2, small (1 pint) bottles of water. The trail to Rescue Box #2 is part of the infamous Skyline Trail (which begins at the Palm Springs Art Museum and ends at the Tram's Mountain Station!) As we descend from the Tram's Mountain Station, the forested area will be the norm until about 2 miles down. Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City and beyond as part of the expanse of Coachella Valley will be evident as well. Along the way we'll see unusual rock formations and a variety of vegetation.

After we all unload the water bottles and other supplies from our packs and insert them in the Rescue Box #2, there will be break/rest stop around/near the box. The views are nice in that area.

Rest / breaks will be along the way as well.
