THE LONG BEACH-BELMONT SHORES-NAPLES
BOAT PARADE AND DECORATION WALK
Saturday December 18, 5:30p-9pm
La Bella Fontana Park, 90 Corinthian Walk, Long Beach, CA 90803
This will be the 75th annual Naples Christmas Boat Parade, where small boats sailing through the canals, big boats in Alamitos Bay and houses all around the islands will compete for holiday decoration bragging rights.
Bring your Santa hat, matching clothing ensemble (see above for an example), a thermos of egg nog or hot chocolate with a favorite friend to see the boat parade through the Naples canals then walk among carolers through the adjacent neighborhood to view the amazing light and holiday themed displays. We will meet at Bella Fontana Park and walk 2 blocks to a great viewing area for the parade. Get there early as parking is challenging and more information will be provided for best areas and lots.
Large boats decorated with lights parade along the peninsula at 6 pm. Small boats float through at 6:30 pm from the Appian Way Bridge. Interestingly enough, large and small boats go in opposite directions.
Houses on Naples Island are famous for extraordinary displays of Christmas and Hanukkah lights. It makes the island a great Christmas destination in Southern California.
Register here as it will take you to the LA groups registration.

Just wanted to mention that parking will be at a premium as this is a well attended event for Belmont Shore/Naples. Check for shuttles within the city; or come extra early for dinner and then join the festivities!
Trip Leader will be the world renowned Rob McKee!
