We will hike from the preserve gate to the stone house. At the stone house there are restrooms and we can explore Mission Creek. Multiple opportunities for breaks and the trail is wide and flat. I was a ranger years ago for the conservancy, Mission Creek was one of the preserves I maintained and patrolled. I will share my knowledge of the history of the preserve.
Departure Time: 9am from the gate, meet at gate.
Location: Mission Creek Preserve - From Hwy 62 head northwest on Mission Creek Road. This is a well maintained dirt road that runs about 2 miles. Park in the lot next to the gate. Map click here
Bring: Face cover, Ten Essentials, water (2 to 3 liters recommended), lunch/ snacks, sun protection, layered clothing, hiking poles may be helpful. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required.
Carpooling: Carpooling is not recommended except for members of the same household. You are responsible for arranging your own transportation.
