Pasadena Architectural House Walking Tour

Hi folks, we are trying our first outdoor event in months.

For this outdoor walking tour we require that you wear a mask/face covering; we will be practicing physical distancing. Limited to 10 members because of Covid-19. Please stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms' length) from other people. Bring hand sanitizer. Carpooling is not recommended at this time, except with your housemates. 

*** Please only come if in good health, with no known Covid-19 exposure. If you feel even the slightest bit ill, please do stay at home. Thank you for protecting everyone's health.

SUMMARY:  Charles Sumner Greene and Henry Mather Greene were active in Pasadena, California, their houses and larger-scale ultimate bungalows are prime exemplars of the American Arts and Crafts Movement.

This is a National Register Historic District that is home to 9 Greene & Greene houses, including Charles Greene's own home, as well as others by distinguished architects.

We will walk around the outside of the famous Gamble House, andl continue on to the Oaklawn subdivision which includes a view of Frank Lloyd Wright's La Miniatura as well as other distinguished architecture.

We will return to the back lawn of the Gamble House for a picnic on the rear lawn. Bring your own lunch.

Parking: Street parking.

What to Bring: Bring your own lunch. Rain cancels.
